This section of the newsletter is designed to keep you up to date on the latest from our in-house developed online ordering service, EzyPrint.
I would like to introduce another feature of EzyPrint this month, field compression.
Compression allows fields to move to different positions on a template according to whether information exists in other fields on the template.

We will use our EzyPrint demo business card template to demonstrate this feature. Our demo site is accessible via: http://www.printwarehouse.com.au/technology/online-ordering-demo.html

In the preview of the card above, you can see that the fax number is to the right of the phone number, and the email address is on the next line. In this example we have specified that E2 should move the fields in the contacts field group forwards. This means that if any of the fields in the field group contacts (consists of Phone, Fax, Email and Web) are missing or empty, the other fields will move towards the front of the list of fields, filling in the empty spaces. So, if we were to remove the fax number, we would get the following preview when refreshed:

The email address has moved forward to take the place of the fax number and the web address field has also moved forward to take the place of the email address.
So that is field compression! Field compression works on unlimited field groups (pre-specified groups of fields) and can be in forward or reverse order.
