Welcome to our Tips and Tricks section of the newsletter. In each newsletter we will feature information on something we hope will be found useful! This month we feature a tip on one of our most popular email applications, Microsoft Outlook.
By default, Outlook highlights unread messages in your Inbox with a bold font. You can change this to use a color, a bigger font, or even a completely different font.
Change the Way Unread Messages are Highlighted in Outlook
To change the way unread mail is highlighted in Outlook:

Click to select your Inbox folder. Select 'View' | 'Current View' | 'Customize Current View' from the top menu while you are in your Outlook Inbox.

In Outlook 2003, choose 'View' | 'Arrange By' | 'Current View' | 'Customize Current View'.

In Outlook 2007, choose 'View' | 'Current View' | 'Customize Current View'.

Click on 'Automatic Formatting'.

Select 'Unread Messages'. Note: There are other formatting defaults here you can change also!

Click on 'Font'.

Specify your desired settings.

Click OK.

Click OK again to return to Microsoft Outlook.
